Victimhood and Virtue
People do things and expect something in return. They will deny it, but they do. Whether it be in favors or praise, they want something in return. They can have the purest of intentions but want that external validation for their good deed(s). Recently, I saw a social media post about patients being violent and rude towards their nurses.
